The Password Manager in Microsoft Edge securely stores and autofills credentials, & alerting users about weak or compromised passwords. It’s a key feature for browser retention, but accumulated features led to UX issues with saving passwords and Edge’s password generator. A UX audit, in collaboration with the product team, helped simplify the save password experience for new users, leading to several feature improvements that boosted key metrics.
